About the film
Milkshakes & Disability: A Helpful Guide is a personal, humorous reflection on disability and the misinformation surrounding the subject. Educational and light-hearted, the film follows Andrew as he discusses what it is like to be disabled — from his encounters with overly frightened bystanders to the isolation he experienced throughout his childhood and the hostility that he sometimes receives from members of the public. Throughout this, Andrew never loses ‘sight’ of his humour nor his conviction that change is not only possible, but easy. Easier, even, than drinking a milkshake.
