Andrew Pettigrew is a young writer and poet who lives in Hamilton, Scotland, with his family and dogs. Deafblind and proud, he has won several writing prizes, including the Pushkin Prize and the Young Poets of the Year Award, as well as being shortlisted for the Young Walter Scott Prize and the BBC Young Reporters Prize. He has also worked closely with the Poetry Society, the Scottish Poetry Library and the Scottish Book Trust.
Screenwriting credits include the short films Zoombies (2020), Choices (2020), Trickling Water (2020) and Milkshakes & Disability: A Helpful Guide (2021). When he isn’t writing, directing or ranting, Andrew can usually be found watching horror films, playing with his band Blue Grisha, or, controversially, eating pineapple pizza.
